同じ羽の鳥たち

時には　物事が何の苦も無く流れていくことがあって
そういうのは　本当に楽だね
でも　好むか好まざるかに関わらず
いつだって　悪いほうにしか進まないことだってあるのさ
時に人々は　君をおだて上げて
その後で　どん底に蹴り落としたりする
時に人々は　ただそばにいて欲しいからというだけで
君を大切に扱ったりする

そうなるとおそらく　君はお茶の招待を受けたりするかもしれない
そうでなきゃおそらく　君が笑いを取って　奴らを笑顔にさせるとか
さもなければ多分　確あるべしということで　君から奴らに仲間入りも
おそらく君は　ほんの少しの間　君自身が忘れていたことも　忘れてしまうのだろう

同じ羽の鳥たちが外で群れているよ
吸引ガスでフラフラになったヤツみたいに
くねくねと列を作って踊っている
拍子をとって　輪になって　キャンプファイヤーの輪唱みたいに
初めに見たときは　祭りの太鼓みたいだったね
君はまだ自分が　走れるはずと思っているけれど
でも君は　チャンスを逃してしまうのさ

もしも人々が　誰かを担ぎ出すことに失敗したのならば
それを経験とは言えないよね
奴ら　自分の内部に充填させた感情というものにしがみついている
奴ら　地面を嘴でついばんでいる
奴ら　大またで気取って歩いている

Perhaps you'll receive invitations for tea
or perhaps you will laugh and you will make them all smile
Or maybe you'll join them 'cause it had to be
Perhaps you'll forget you forgot for a while

Birds of a feather are flocking outside
like whippets they dance in a curly-queue dance
of pulses and ringing and campfire chants
of ritual drumming although at first glance
you thought you could run but you won't take a chance

it's not an experience if they can't bring someone along
they hang on emotions they bottle inside
they peck at the ground
and they strut out of stride
